Pastor Jonathan Perry is not only a mighty, anointed teacher and preacher of the Word, but he has a strong compassion for people. He has a desire to build strong men, encourage the less fortunate and serve the elderly. Not only does he have a big voice but he has an even bigger heart that is genuine and humble.
Pastor Perry was born in Monticello, New York. He spent most of his young adult life in Kingston, New York with his parents and 7 siblings. While in Kingston, he supported his father, the late Henry Perry, who founded Bethlehem Temple Church.
At 16, Pastor Perry committed his life to Christ at Bethlehem Church of Jesus Christ in Ithaca, New York, under the late Bishop Cecil Malone. Returning to his father’s church, he gained invaluable training in church operations and leadership. During this time, he discovered a heartfelt calling to serve seniors and individuals with disabilities. Taking responsibility for two elderly men with special needs, he unknowingly laid the foundation for his future in ministry and leadership, driven by compassion and purpose.
In 1982, Pastor Perry moved to California. There he began attending Greater Bethlehem Temple Church in Los Angeles under the leadership of Bishop Winston Singleton. While attending Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, he served on the brotherhood ministry, baptism committee, video ministry, and the kitchen team.
In 2006, Pastor Perry moved to Atlanta, Georgia to assist his sister with care for his elderly mother. He began attending Harvesttime Apostolic Ministries under the late Bishop Ray Trout in Riverdale, Georgia. He received his Minister’s License in 2008 where he served in the baptism ministry, new members facilitator, brotherhood president, taught adult Sunday school, and visited hospitals and nursing homes. He also served on the prison ministry and outreach ministry. He coordinated soup kitchens, managed residential relocation and assisted the Director of Facilities with church maintenance. He also served as an Adjutant to Bishop Joel Trout and assisted the Board of Elders.
Ordained as an Elder in 2015 under Bishop Joel Trout of Harvesttime Apostolic Ministries under the jurisdiction of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith (PCAF), Pastor Jonathan continued to expand his ministry. In 2017, Pastor Jonathan and his wife joined The Ministry of New Life under Apostle Suzie E. Jones and Overseer Caudell Jones, where he served as Elder and president of the men's ministry.
On July 3, 2019, Pastors Jonathan and Maria Perry officially launched Resurrected Hope Ministries. Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, they have diligently built and nurtured their ministry.
